Never do something if the risk is greater than the reward.
God doesn't make junk.
Failure is a delay not a defeat.
Happiness does not depend upon who you are or what you have. It depends upon what you think.
Failure is the opportunity to try again. This time more intelligently.
Talking about "risk"... the biggest risk in life is not to take one at all.!
ReplyDeleteEven if the rewards seem less, if you want to make it big, you got to take risks...
Had Rani of Jhansi not risked her and her son's life, had the first war of independence ever happened?..
Had Gandhiji played safe, being a respected barrister, had we got our freedom?..
India would still have been a poor country, if the "safe" socialism not had not given way to "risky" capitalism..
Winners are the people who do things differently, and for that they have to take the different, untrodden, risky path..
You are correct. But the quote here puts emphasis on the reward. The reward in all the cases you have written was far greater and also for the greater good.
ReplyDeleteFor me the first thing that came to my mind after reading it was when people do stunts and taking unnecessary risks which may kill them. Those are indeed uncalled for.
